Week 5 has arrived and the 2-1 Atlanta Falcons are gearing up for a clash with the rough and tough San Francisco 49'ers. The stage is set at Candlestick Park and the Falcons are rested and ready to get back to their winning ways after losing to the Patriots 10-26. The 49'ers though are coming off an easy breezy win against the St. Louis Rams but, everyone knows that Mike Singletary will not let the team be satisfied. His serious approach and the challenges he presents his team are making them grow and get better every week. Luckily, the Falcon's won't have to face Michael Crabtree even though he recently signed a six year deal. It will take time for Crabtree to earn his way on the field so the Falcon's defense will only have to focus in on stopping Glen Coffee and Shaun Hill. Coffee has been running in place of Frank Gore after his injury that will sideline him for a few more weeks. Since Coffee took over, the 49'ers have had a steep drop off in production in the running game. Singletary said earlier this week that his offense must focus on getting the running game going. The Falcons will need to shut down this effort and try and create turnovers. On offense, the Falcon's offensive line must shine. Michael Turner has had a quiet start and if the Falcon's want to even consider a decent margin of victory, they will need to establish Turner's presence early and often. This production will lay in the hands of the offensive line who are fired up and ready to prove why they were on of the leading rushing lines last year. Overall, I predict a close matchup that will end up with a Falcon's victory 20-17.
